Waiting times

Acknowledgment Response

All submissions will be confirmed within a maximum of seven days. After this period, the author may contact directly via the email contacto@revistanuestramerica.cl to inquire about the status.

Maximum Decision Response Time

The journal commits to providing a response regarding the acceptance or rejection of a manuscript within a maximum of three months. The publication will occur as soon as possible after the manuscript approval notice.

Publication Times

It will always be done as soon as "possible" after acceptance. Accepted articles are placed on a publication list and depend on their position on this list. There is no issue with publishing more than one article on the same day, but it will depend on the technical conditions of the period. An accepted article could take a week or even a bit more than a month to be published.

Estimated Time Between Acknowledgment and Publication of Accepted Articles

Since 2023, due to an increase in submissions, the estimated time is four months.

Exceptions

There may be cases where manuscripts undergo peer review in shorter times due to greater availability of reviewers. In such cases, we have registered waiting times of up to two months.

Requests Related to Waiting Times

Every author has the right to request the following when needed:

  • Request an acknowledgment email confirming the receipt of their manuscript. This will be just an email, and the journal will not provide any receipt confirmation.
  • Request information about the status of their article review. This will only be done by email, and the journal will not provide any receipt confirmation.
  • Request a certificate of acceptance if the article has been informed as accepted. The certificate will be electronically signed and will include a verification code. Certificates will be provided with explicit conditions at the time of acceptance, for example, if the acceptance states "subject to major revisions," the certificate will indicate that the manuscript is accepted but subject to major changes.
