Abstract

In the last two decades, the social movements in Latin America have experienced new social mediation processes led by new generations of digital citizens willing to challenge the hegemonic place of traditional information media. Regaining from these alternative digital media’s experiences and the critical tradition of participatory communication for social change as it developed in Latin America, in our paper we propose a critical and theoretical framework centred in the biographic and communitarian dimension of the protest.
