Narrative and wixárika art in the process of decolonization: a claim by Wirikuta

Abstract

The movements of indigenous peoples are the possibility of another epistemology and cognition that make the colonial idea of "Latin America" obsolete. There is, therefore, a discussion about the truth/power or knowledge/power model and the opportunities to make wixárika narrative and art an affordable proposal that have the capacity to transform the interlocutor’s way of thinking. Within this proposal we find the need to declare Wirikuta as World heritage.
